FrostyCool 12a Refrigerant is a blend of environmentally safe hydrocarbon refrigerants designed as a replacement for R-134a and retrofitted CFC-R12 systems. FrostyCool 12a can be used to replace HCF R-134a and CFC-R12 substitute refrigerants in mobile air conditioning and refrigeration units.
FrostyCool 12a operates at lower head pressures and offers colder air and improved performance compared to HFC-R134a. FrostyCool 12a will extend the life of a system because of the lower head pressures. FrostyCool 12a Replacement Refrigerant requires approximately 1/3 the amount of the original charge in the system and must be charged as a liquid.
Operation: FrostyCool 12a Replacement Refrigerant operates at lower head pressures which results in an increased lifespan of the compressor and decreased engine load.
Compatibility: FrostyCool 12a Refrigerant is compatible with most air-conditioning lubricants, seals, gaskets, hoses, compressors and o-rings.
FrostyCool 12a Refrigerant along with mineral oil are Incompatible with butyl rubber hoses.
Environment: FrostyCool 12a Refrigerant is a 100% natural organic refrigerant.
FrostyCool 12a Refrigerant is non-ozone depleting and has a low global warming potential.
FrostyCool 12a Refrigerant is in full compliance with the UN Montreal Protocol and meets or exceeds international standards such as—ISO 5149, BS 4434-1995, AS/NZS 1677 and ASHRAE 5149.
One 6 ounce can of FrostyCool 12a Refrigerant is equivalent to 15 oz. of HFC-134a & 17 oz. of CFC-R12.
Q: CAN I TOP OFF MY SYSTEM? CAN I MIX REFRIGERANTS? DO I HAVE TO EVACUATE MY UNIT?
A: Mixing refrigerants is ILLEGAL in North America. Enviromental Regulations require that an Air-Conditioning System be free of or properly evacuated of refrigerant by certified personnel before charging with FrostyCool Replacement Refrigerant.
FrostyCool Replacement Refrigerant is flammable and will ignite if it comes in contact with an open flame or spark, Always work in a well ventilated area and follow all manufacturers directions at all times. FrostyCool 12a MSDS
